Shiner Pride

I’m really surprised to see this beer listed here. Shiner Bock is made at the Spoetzl Brewery in Shiner, Texas which is just east of San Antonio. It’s a local favorite that is rich and creamy. It’s a dark amber colored beer. It has won the bronze award for American Dark Lager of the Year 2001, and 2002 at The Great American Beer Festival. I’ve personally never seen this beer outside of Texas. I’m sure it has made it’s way to other places, even without my knowledge.

Now to what you all want to know...How does it taste? It’s the best beer that I have ever tasted. I’m not much of a beer drinker, but about 9 years ago some friends introduced me to Shiner Bock at a get together. I was surprised at the mellow taste it had. I also enjoyed the thickness of it. I had grown tired of the usual beer...light beer. If you want to enjoy a good beer that leaves you satisfied, pop a Shiner Bock.
