My Experience with Shiprocket: The Most Fraudulent Courier Company in India
As a seasonal business owner in India, I was looking for a reliable courier company to help me deliver my products to customers. That is when I came across Shiprocket, a company that promised to make shipping easy and hassle-free. However, my experience with them turned out to be a nightmare that I would not wish on anyone.
My first impression of Shiprocket was positive, as their name suggested that they were a cool courier company helping direct-to-consumer brands. I recharged their wallet and started using their services, hoping that it would make my business operations smoother.
However, things quickly took a turn for the worse when I realized that they were not delivering my shipments properly. Due to some minor discrepancies in the dimensions of the packages, they cancelled all the prepaid orders(prepaid shipping and prepaid orders), marked them RTO(return to origin) causing significant losses to my business. All these were prepaid orders worth lakhs of rupees, and they illegally got custody of all the items in their warehouse. They then started threatening me to recharge their wallet with more and more amounts, starting with INR 8000, then INR 25, 000, and now demanding INR 72, 000 more for releasing the shipments.
As an honest company, we refunded all the amount to the customers(who paid amount in advance for the goods)as the orders were prepaid. However, Shiprocket continued to harass me by messaging that they were disposing of my consignment day by day. They thought I was just another small guy who would cry for a few days and forget about it. But I was determined to fight back against their fraudulent activities.
Had they been a little more sensible thinking that they are doing business with sellers/startup’s, and sort the matter amicably things wouldn’t have taken this ugly turn.
I have decided to take legal action against Shiprocket by filing a few cases against them, putting a complaint at GST, filing an FIR, and raising some media awareness regarding their company. I was not going to let them get away with their unethical practices that had caused significant losses to my business. Although not easy to fight with these companies, but at least I am privileged enough to fight a legal battle with them. Wish me luck!
