It was an old wish to visit to this place, for which we had been here to pay our visit at the Sai dham.
Its in the march that we had made this trip via road. And its approximately 270-280km from Mumbai, with nice roads which is a treat to drive. Only a patch of close to 50km frm shirdi shows a little bit of turbulence. Haha.
Besides the journey was nice and u can see a lot of wind mills on the road to shirdi. Over reaching shirdi you will find numerous hotels.
I would suggest to make your bookings prior online as direct bookings might feel a bit expensive on emergency basis.
Food near by is all veg and good.The temple and Sai is the one which has kept this place so lively and chearfull. One should visit this temple and Sai baba to take blessings.
It was a nice experience, and there were hundreds or thousands of people who had come to the temple.
Besides the atmosphere during evening is very pleasant and fooding is cheap.
You get very cheap reisins out here. So u are a fan you should get a few packes for u at a very very cheap price.
Also u have onions and stuff at a wholesale rate, so it wont be a bad idea to dump a gunny of it in the car boot on the way back ; )
Overall a nice holy place to come to.
