NOTE: SHIV GANGA PACKER AND MOVER IS PUTTING FAKE REVIEWS HIMSELF TO CHANGE HIS OVERALL RATING. DO CAREFULLY READ’5’ STAR RATED REVIEWS(vocabulary etc.) You will realize that these are fake reviews. Also, most 5 star raters have only put one review here - of Shiv Ganga Packers!(i.e. by himself). I want to alert other users to make careful choice while reading this
I contacted Shiv Ganga Packers and Movers in Chandigarh after going through their web site for shifting of my house hold items from Mohali to Bareilly. Vedpal Singh(this person is a BIG LIER and a FRAUD), who runs their Chandigarh office (2239. Mariwala Town, Manimajra, Chandigarh), assured me that my goods will be transferred within 2 days, and that they are professional packers and movers and no damage will happen to the goods. Since, all my electronic items were brand new(3-4 months old), I was deeply concerned with the quality of the service. After meeting this person, I decided to take “Shiv Ganga Packers and Movers” service.
We agreed to pay Rs. 4000 and an additional of Rs. 300 for the insurance of the goods.
I had already packed most of my goods in the cartons that I had with me and asked them on pack my refrigerator. I handed over my goods to them on August 28th, 2009 and moved to Bareilly next day.
When we didn’t get our goods on August 30th, we contacted Vedpal(phone: xxxx3249430, xxxxx24694, xxxx457892). He kept lying to us and gave us various reasons for the delay. When we contacted Mr. Sunil(phone: 0xxxx457892) in their head office in Gurgaon, he asked Vedpal to call us. Vedpal again lied to us that the goods has already been dispatched in a truck and gave us the driver’s phone number. That number never worked and was not even in existence.
We again contacted Vedpal Singh. Most of the times he didn’t pick our phone, and we have to try from different mobiles so that he can pick our call. Finally, on September 4th(exactly after a week), our goods arrived.
I was shocked to see the way my goods have been dumped in a truck carrying commercial goods. All my cartons have been dumped like garbage on top of iron angles and pipes that are used to build cell phone towers. My refrigerator was lying HORIZONTAL on top of these iron garbage.
When we unpacked the refrigerator, we found that the left side of the refrigerator was completely damaged. It had big holes on it. When we called Vedpal Singh, he took the entire matter as casually as it was his daily business. He misbehaved with us and asked us to pay the driver the remaining amount we had to pay to them for their “service”. Asking them to pay for the damage was beyond question as they were not even ready to talk to us.
The insurance done on the goods was good only in case of theft or accident of the truck and hence was of no good.
I contacted LG to get an estimate of my repairs, and they said that the parts are not available from the company itself and nothing could be done.
My 4 months old refrigerator that I had purchased for Rs. 17, 500.00 was turned into garbage and I couldn’t do anything. I will soon upload pictures of the damage done by “Shiv Ganga Packers and Movers” to my refrigerator. I wish I had taken the picture of the truck that was carrying it.
Dear friends, I am requesting you to be careful in choosing such packers and movers service. Again, Shiv Ganga packers and movers are the biggest cheaters in this business, and all their advertisements, commitments, web sites are false and mis-leading. Please don’t go by their words and don’t give your valuable goods to them.
All the information on their web site is FALSE AND MIS LEADING.
They aren’t any kind of “packers and movers”, and are fooling people in the name of “packing and moving” service.
