Nothing great

Location:

Shiv Mahal is a decent hotel, just outside Santacruz station on the western side. that seems to be one of the few good thigns about it. This also turns out to be a dampener in a way, because of all the sound of the trains, and even the type of crowd that comes here!

Food:

The food is decent. They have a good variety... from thalis to punjabi, south indian and chinese food too. They also offer a wide range of desserts. I would recommend the north indian dishes... and the biryani. these are tried and tested, and really good. I would suggest don’t go for the chinese food, as they add a lot of colour, and it’s also very oily!

Ambience:

As far as the interiors are concerned, they are ok. They have ample seating arrangements, so you rarely have to wat for a table. which is a good thing, as compared to the only other decent hotel that’s close by (Shabari). But the ambience is nothing very classy. It is quite average

Price:

Here’s where it scores. You get decent value for money as most of the items are reasonalby priced, and affordable.

Service:

Well, the service is fairly average. Nothing special. However, one nice thing is that they do free home deliveries, even if the order is less than Rs. 100. So that’s good!

Hope you got a fair idea about shiv Mahal. All in all, fairly good!
