Ever since the first trailer ofShivaay was released, it piqued the curiosity of movie buffs, thanks to its high-adrenaline action sequences and stunning visuals. However, actor-filmmaker Ajay Devgn has ensured that the movies music is one of its talking points, too. With a powerful mix of artistes like Mithoon, Jasleen Royal, Kailash Kher, Arijit Singh and Sunidhi Chauhan, Ajays team has delivered an album that packs a punch.
The films title trackBolo Har Har, penned by Sandeep Shrivastava, is a heavy-duty song. Its high point is the shlokas that are sung by Megha Sriram. Composed by Mithoon, the song opens with Mohit Chauhans soulful voice followed by a bunch of amazing singers.Bolo Har Har is a song about Lord Shiva and talks about the war between the good
and the evil. The rap portion of this trippy and upbeat number has been rendered by Baadshah. The guitar riffs make it an amazing listening experience. It surely is a track that you would want to groove to.
Post this dark intense number comesDarkhaast, a soft melodious track written by Sayeed Quadri. The song spells romance and Arijit-Sunidhis vocals are soothing to the ears. It breaks away from the usual romantic numbers in Bollywood and we have to credit the heavy techno beats, soft guitar riffs and bass in its composition for it. the next song on the playlist isRaatein. High on melody, it has been sung as well as written by Jasleen along with Aditya Sharma. It is a soothing number that portrays a father-daughter bond between Ajay and child artiste Abigail Eames. A childlike innocence in Jasleens voice is the highlight of this track. The reprise version of the song is more intense and dark.
The last song of the albumTere Naal Ishqa is a situational number about love and longing, which is sung by Kailash Kher and composed both by Kailash and Mithoon. It is yet another father-daughter song in the film and Kailash has poured his soul into it with his high-pitched voice. Penned by Sayeed Quadri, the song is heart wrenching. Though it is not up to the mark when compared to the other three tracks in the album, it still manages to mesmerise you.
Overall with an eclectic mix of musicians like Mohit Chauhan, Badshaah and Jasleen in one album, the soundtrack ofShivaay has all the ingredients that one needs to make it a hard-hitting album.
