I placed an order (Order 23164249) for Accu Chek Strips on Shopclues.com on 13th Oct’14 and after several followups received the product on 31-10-14. Upon opening the packet, I was flabbergasted to find that:
I was sent a FREE sample and charged for it.
The strips were due to expire in next 3 months.
The code chip was missing, thereby making the strips totally unusable.
When I contacted the seller(Bantom Labs, Paharganj, New Delhi) they denied having sent any defective product and passed the blame to the courier agency DotZot. With much difficulty, I got in touch with DotZot, they listened to me and passed the ball to Shopclues.
The single line of Shopclues is always busy and emails are not replied to. Somehow, they were kind enough to ask me to send the pics of the product. I sent and persistently followed up. A return pick up was arranged.
Done - with my complete add and tel no. Again email follow up continued, only to receive stereotyped responses. After 12 reminder emails and a long wait for 46 days, ultimately I received a non-defective replacement from the same seller. I was wrong to assume that the chapter ended there.
2 days later, I received a call from a gentleman in Rajasthan saying that he had ordered for Accu Chek strips at Shopclues and received a defective one with my name and tel no written on the packet.
Am I from Shopclues so that he can lodge his complain?
The seller has forwarded the defective piece collected from me, to another unsuspecting buyer. Can you believe this?
