I purchased a Brother LS 2000 sewing machine from Shopclues.com, since it was the lowest price amongst the online websites. I had purchased a few low value items from shopclues earlier and since I did not face any issues I decided to take a chance purchase the sewing machine from Shopclues. I received the sewing machine within a week - but the the sewing machine was defective. Since it was not working - I raised an returns request for exchange with another piece, printed the RMA and waited for it to be picked up for return as directed by the website. After that - nothing. No one has come to pick up the item for return not was an exchange piece sent and complete silence from the website.
Now nearly a month after the purchase I am left with an expensive paper weight. On the website against my order and return id of 1594601 it show a status ofReturn Request Closed. but no further information is available. I posted feedback on the purchase on the website but no response to the feedback too - just the comment against the order that feedback has been posted.
Therefore if you are thinking of puchasing an item from Shopclues that might require to be returned or exchanged please do so with caution. Since in all probability you will be left sitting with a lemon if there is a problem, with no proper process in place for escalation or resolution of a problem. This is in stark contrast with other websites like Snapdeal, Flipkart etc. where on raising an RMA a courier turns up the next day to pick up the item for return or exchange.
