Wouldn't shop here if I had a clue

I had tried the website a few times before - all( intentionally) low cost items.

  • Online shopping experience is bad. Searching for a products does not yield good results. Even navigating the website is very unintuitive

  • Quality of products I received varied from bad to average - even for the low prices

  • Shipping costs are usually high. Most products are shown with a lower price, and a high shipping cost. Kills the price advantage except in a few cases

  • Customer support seems to be rather useless.

  • In all, yet another cheap( both in price and quality) online store trying to make a quick buck. Might be ok to try for orders of very small value, definitely not recommended for larger orders.

Please see my bad experience below:


I received a damaged item( broken lid of a container) and placed a return request. The customer service waited for a few days and promptly closed the request without any resolution. The interface is so unintuitive, it took quite a while to even figure out how to place a return request( or how to place a re-return-request) .


Called the customer service and the person said he was surprised to see that the ticket was closed. He reopened the ticket for me. However, this did not help. I received a note asking if I would be willing to accept 50 "cluebuck-points"( for the broken item) to close the ticket. I had paid about 350 for the set of containers!, but it was still a cheap stunt that they tried to pull on me. Having resolved never to buy anything from them again, I asked them to replace the item. They said they would refund my money( instead of shipping another product. I am guessing to avoid the cost of shipping the item again) . Also, by their behaviour I am not even sure if they will refund my money after I return the item.


As of today, it has been 23 days since I first opened the ticket, I am yet to receive a resolution. I guess its time to approach the consumer court:)
