Shopclues.com is to be avoided

This complaint is with reference to ShopClues order 52582975, Order Date: 18 May 2015, 11:43 PM


I have been shopping online since many years both with Indian and foreign companies, be it American or even Chinese . Never have I had a problem which could not be solved with


following up, and when I had to complain online . There where some bad sellers, but I could solve problem, and then would avoid them later . But, Shopclues doesn’t seem to fall even in such bad seller category . It seems to be the worst . They are taking advantage of the faith of gullible customers and they seem to be playing with their money .


I have placed order for two items and was delivered one item only . I have asked the courier about the missing item and he said it would probably come later . Even I thought it would be so . But two days later I got a mail confirming that I have received both the items. From then onwards, I have been following up with them stating the case . I was asked to file a return request, as there was no case of’ missing item’ . Even though I could not photograph the missing item, I was asked to photograph the one I received and to tell that I would keep it and was asking refund for missing item . I did so, as I had no other option .


After that I got an SMS on 27th May stating that my request for refund has been disapproved, and also that I would get an email with details . I did not get any such email, any way it would be of no use to me .


The money invested by the customer may be small or large, but it doesn’t feel good to be deceived. If not for corrective action in my case, I am reporting this so that other customers would beware and avoid this site .


Added later after I received my item:


Well, I have received my item, after so much follow up . There was no prior intimation that the item was on the way, instead I got an sms as told . There seems to be a communication gap between the various personnel in the customer service department . Also, it would be better if we buy from online sellers who handle every thing from order booking, packaging and delivery themselves instead of subcontracting it to various parties .
