This post regarding shopclues.com will give you the idea that this e-shopping site is worse than the Nigerian scam. I have used this site multiple times to buy small items and I will give you order by order accounts of my experience on this site.
Below are some of the orders(9) and see how shopclues have responded –
- Order Number – 6753573
Order Date – 11 Sep 2013
Item Ordered - Himalaya’s Moisturizing Almond Soap Total Quantity 20. Status – I ordered this product on 11th Sep 2013 and received a mail on 16th Sep that my order has been shipped via DTDC with tracking number H22875240. I was eagerly waiting for the product but when I did not receive the product even after 3 days of shipping, I checked on DTDC site with the tracking number. The DTDC site was showing that the tracking number is not valid. I decided to call DTDC and they could not track the number. Then I sent a mail to Shopclues and they said the tracking number takes some time to be updated.
When I did not receive the product even after 10 days of shipping, I started following up with Shopclues and they said that the product is not in stock and they will refund my money. On 26th Sep 2013, I received a call that they have initiated the refund process.
Now, anyone with little bit of common-sense can tell that when you did not have the product in stock, how did you ship that and from where you got that tracking number of DTDC?

Item Ordered - Citizen Upper Arm Digital Blood Pressure Monitor
Status – I added this item in the cart. Then came the bouncer. The item value in the cart was almost double than what was showing on the site. I called shopclues and they said this item is not available at this price. I again went back to the item description page and it was still showing at the lesser price but whenever you add the item to cart, the cart always showed the price which was more than the double the amount. I gave up!

Item Ordered - Kent RO Supreme Water Purifier
Status – I received this item and my nightmare started. First of all, the product was used product. There was water inside the purifier, on the backside of the water purifier, there were marks of wall paint, the packaging was horrible, some of the basic accessories which were mentioned in the booklet were missing and there were no invoice with the product.
I called the shopclues and they refused to admit any of the above points. There were at least 20-30 mail exchanges and same number of phone calls but of no use. At the end, they sent the copy of invoice but refused to either refund the money or exchange the product.

Item Ordered - Bajaj Majesty Duo PNG/LPG 5.5 Ltr Gas Water Heater
Status – After 2 days of ordering this product, I checked they status with shopclues and they confirmed that the order is as per the scheduled and will be delivered to me on or before 5th Feb 2014. When the order was not shipped till 3rd Feb, I again checked the status and they still insisted that the delivery will be on or before 5th Feb. Now, anyone with little bit of brain can tell that if the order is not shipped(from Delhi) on 3rd Feb, how it will be delivered to me on or before 5th Feb to Bangalore. Finally, I received a mail from Shopclues that the item is not in stock and the refund has been initiated. Just laugh about this what else you can do.

Status – Ordered Size 10, received Size 6 or 7. Did not contact Shopclues as the size was OK(little bigger but OK) for my daughter.

Status – When the item was not shipped even after the estimated delivery date, I got worried and contacted Shopclues. As usual, they said that the item is not in stock and they will initiate the refund.

Item Ordered - Cenizas Maroon Satin Nighty 2 Piece
Status – This item was advertised on Shopclues and the picture given on the site was, a fully grown up model(at least 25-30 years old) wearing this nighty. I ordered this product and received on time. But, to my surprised, the nighty was so small that it was not fitting for even an 8 year old girl, forget about a fully grown up lady. I immediately contacted shopclues and ask for replacement of size. They refused to do so as there was only one size option which I had received. They said that since the product is same as in the picture shown, there is no refund or replacement possible. I said, you have shown a model wearing this nighty. I can challenge that this night will not fit a lady who is not even half the size of that model then how can you say that I have received the product same as advertised on site. They said the picture is only for illustration purpose. Finally, after lots of follow-ups and arguments, they accepted their mistake and refunded the amount.

Status – Received an Examination Board which was broken from one corner. Did not follow up with Shopclues as the item was not very expensive.

Status – Shopclues cancelled the order after 6 days of this order mentioning that the item is not in stock. Still awaiting for the amount to be credited in my credit card. But when the item was not in stock, when did you accept the order?

Item Ordered - Ray Ban WAYFARER Sunglasses D VERSION
Status – Received this order Yesterday. I dont know I should laugh or cry. See the picture I have attached. Shopclues have sent a sunglasses available on footpath for Rs 20/-. If you have seen any joker in circus, they wear these type of sunglasses(please refer the attached picture). The merchant IndiaDeals replied to my query and confirmed that these are duplicate sunglasses. Then what about the claim ShopClues makes on its website that "All products at ShopClues.com are brand new, 100% genuine and come with Manufacturer’s warranty wherever applicable."
Anyway, I have requested for the refund else will go ahead with legal case
I thought of sharing my experience with all of you so that you stay away from this scam called shopclues.com

After multiple calls to shopclues, continuous yelling, shouting, abusing and what not, finally the scam called shopclues agreed that the product is 100% fake, duplicate, copy and nothing more than a footpath quality. They would not have agreed if the merchant "IndiaDeals" himself had not spilled the beans.
But, what surprises and proves that ShopClues is a big time cheater that neither the product is taken off the site( https://shopclues.com/ray-ban-wayfarer-sunglasses-d-version-1.html) nor the merchant who sells such items is removed from ShopClues( https://shopclues.com/!/justclick2shop.html).
Moreover, my feedback about the merchant and the product both are removed from shopclues site.
Does anyone need more proof that ShopClues is worse than Nigerian Scam(aka 419 scam)?
