I purchased a Philips HQ 6970 Electronic shaver form this site. When I received the order the outer packing was fine, but the inner packing looks like it has already been opened. After accepting assurance that the product was opened only for checking and not used, I decided to open the package. To my surprise when I opened the head I found tiny bits of hair in the shaver indicating that the product has been used. The following are the issues with the product .
Firstly, there are some pieces of hair under the head, indicating that it has been used. You had told me that the package was opened only for checking. I dont see any reason why it should be used for shaving hair prior to purchase.
Secondly as per the instruction manual, the product contains a cleaning brush. I dont find any cleaning brush inside the pack which makes confirms my suspicion that the product might be second hand.
Finally I am not able to locate the serial number on the product as provided on the philips website. When I tried contacting their customer support through chat, they confirmed that there is no serial number on the product and I have to contact you. This makes me believe the product is duplicate too.
Hence I kindly requested to take back the product and replace it with a brand new, unopened, unused, original Philips HQ 6970 Electric rechargeable shaver(with all accompanying accessories including the cleaning brush.However after getting numerous assurances, I was told that as per my request a replacement would be processed and not replacement.
After numerous followup and so many mails and calls(its nearly impossible to call them), suddenly I get a refund notice. When, I intimated that I want replacement and not refund I get the following reply "As per your request, I am processing the refund of your order". When I took this issue again, I got another reply "We have initiated a refund of your order on 08/05/2013 at 12:10:51 PM. You will be able to see the refund amount reflected in your card/bank statement within 2 weeks"
Gosh! Do these people know English. really wonder.
My verdict: I will never ever shop from this site again! Thanks to their customer service.
