At one point of time, about 3 years back, shoppers stop was THE place to shop- for all ages and for all genders.
I just happened to shop for mens clothes there- as I had some coupons and I was shocked to see the state of the place
There are NO choices any more when it comes to brands, only allen solly, arrow and indian terrain and a couple of more brands. Where are the choices in semi formal shirts. I was looking for casuals and nothing there at all.
Shoes- they have a teeny collection of mens shoes, only red tape and ID brands and nothing else there to choose from.
jeans and other casuals- there is some decent collection there with levis, lee both represented
Its only a high value brand place- I guess they are feeling the pinch ever since they went public and would like to focus on the high margin items only.
For women though there is a LOT to choose from esp when it comes to indian dresses
I went to lifestyle a few days before and it just beats them hands down- HUGE HUGE collection, shoppers stop looks so poor compared to them now.
For perfumes, watches, handbags and ladies shoes- nothing special there too.
The billing takes a HUGE time now- last 3 times I went there, 50% of the counters are not having attendants, the billing took 20 mins and both times there was a mistake for which we had to come back
They give only Rs 20 as parking charge re-imbursement, what if a person stays there for 3 hours and shops worth a few thousands? I think it should be based on bill value- once exceeds 5K should give back 30 rs or more.
Overall I think its no great experience and u can see much more stuff in lifestyle.(and better deals too)
