I recently had a very bad, harrowing experience at Shoppers Stop, located in Dynamix Mall, near ISKCON, Juhu. I purchased two trouser pants [expensive, you bet] and both required minor alterations for better fitting – which I pointed to the sales girl on floor. BUT, whilst billing instead of assisting me with alterations’ process, the cashier was trying desperately to sell me the membership card! Now that irked me. In that confusion, I left the place without alterations – neither did the cashier call back for that! As a result, I couldn’t use the newly purchased trousers for nearly a month.
On next visit when I went with my trousers once again for alterations, [who carried a bill around all the time] – the staff were very unenthusiastic and non-coperative, least interested to assist me. I had to use aggression and show annoyance only then did they show some interest….they will make you run around from one counter to another….just a simple thing of giving your pants for alteration cost me an hour!
On my next visit, again, to collect [3rd visit for one single matter] my pants, I was made to wait for an hour, coz they couldn’t find my pants…it was evident, something is fishy! Despite that, they did not give me ‘my pants’ – the one that I had purchased….they handed me over someone else’s pants, asserting that it is mine. Nonetheless, I had to accept it, but when I wore it at home, I realized to my shock that not only it is not my pant, but it also has a small but visible tear on the upper thigh region. That was the limit of my annoyance!
[now one more – 4th – trip for returning the pants back to them, with threats!]
I strongly advise shoppers not to just hop into a SS outlet just coz of the name and fame. Their services are horrible! I am a regular at SS! Despite, they treat an old loyal customer in this manner! Imagine their callousness! On top of that, all their products and apparels are over priced!
I would never reckon SS to anyone ever!
