I have had simillar experience with Rediff. They seem to thrive on fooling the buyers. India is a vast country so they always find someone who is gullible and falls for it. Most of the goods sold on the site are fakes/chinese make and dont work. Nothing delivered matches the specs given. I have purchased a mobile phone once and an MP3 player in auction. The mobile phone was a refurbished one and never worked properly the MP3 player was not as per spec and the capacity was no where near what was advertised.
This is open swindling that is goind on and no one seems to be bothered. We should make a complaint to the Economic Offences wing of the Maharashtra state police and urge them to take action. None of the vendors seem to pay any taxes either so the concerned govt machinery Finance minitry and state sales tax commissioner should be alerted.
At best tell all friends not to even logon to Rediff shopping.
