I thought I am the only person to get frustrated by Rediffs service. But here I am amazed to see the negative numbers!
Months back (Three month back from this review date), I ordered for a formal shirt which they promised to deliver by 7 days. But even after many multiples of seven, I didnt receive the shirt. The site showed that my payment has been accepted and the product is on-transit.
When I quetioned the customer-care, they made a simple answer that the vendor is not having the stock and cant deliver the shirt by any time. If a shop is out-of-stock, then why the hell it should display things? Then why they accepted payment for an out-of-stock item? At least, they dont even have the courtesy to inform their customer regarding the problem. If I would havent enquired, I am damn sure that my money would have gone to someones leisure.
Even after the enquiry, Rediff didnt manage to refund my money at given time. It took a whole month for the money to be refunded. How can a e-commerce site could hold ones money for such a long time? Are they paying any interest?
Another of my order which was a book had another problem. The book had repeated and missing pages! What more worse could be there for a book?
If Rediff is set to continue this service, man, time is very near that they pull down their shutters. Definitely, Rediff Shopping is a site to be avoided.
