So far I have shopped at least 7 times on rediff out of which 4 were in the last six months.
I never had a problem earlier but I the latest 2 attempts were all bad. Unfortunately, I shopped all around the same time, so I did not have bad experince to learn from.And I have only my laziness to blame, I would not be writing this had I read the reviews on mouthshut before shopping.
I have written to them several times to check on the delivery of my orders (they dont even have an email address, just an online form). Each time I got an automated email which said I should expect a reply within 24 to 48 hours but I am still waiting for a response. it has been almost a month now since I placed those orders but the intended parties are yet to receive the gifts.
In the Track your order part, one of my orders shows a despatched status with a number under Courier Info but not the name of the courier so I dont know which courier agency to reach out to, to figure out where the delivery is stuck.
They do not list the contact details of the seller nor do they provide any contact number from their own helpdesk, so one has nowhere to go. The worst part is that since the orders were gifts, I had to pay them online and not select the Cash on delivery option. So now I have paid them the money and have nothing in hand. Not to mention the amount of things I had to listen to at home as one of the recipients of the gifts in on my in-laws side :)
The website by itself is fine, it has good UI and usability (usability has scope for improvement though) and the process of checkout to payment is smooth. The number of options they have for payment are also several so it is convenient.
I am surely going to avoid shopping on this site again.
