I have had a harrowing experience shopping at Rediff.com .I have been suffering at the hands of rediff shopping for last 6-7 months.I first bought a 5 in one (order number 3773537)and it did not work , when I wrote I was told to contact the vendor., I couriered the stuff back but whenever I tried to contact the vendor he would use abusive language and refused to listen to my request. I wrote back several mails after that to rediff and after 2-3 months they issued gift certificate saying they regret the poor quality of the product I had ordered earlier. Then using this gift certificate i bought a DVD and stereo (order :3976243) this time committing another Rs.1600.
On delivery I found that even this was faulty, I wrote back again, the courier guys picked up and then there was no communication for another 4 weeks. When I asked them about the replacement I got a reply that the product would be replaced in 7-10 days. Nothing happened. I wrote back to them again and this time they told that product was of poor quality and have promised to give me a gift certificate in lieu.Their customer care executives kept changing in the while and every time I wrote to them I had to write the same same story all over again.
I now fully understand that it is a part of their strategy. One would get sick n tired of writing and give up and rediff will make money by offering nothing. As a part of that strategy they dont leave any phone numbers on their website.It is cheating, now after such an ordeal I don’t want to deal with them anymore. I don’t want to accept any more gift certificates.
