Here’s how to fix them and get your money back.
MOST IMPORTANT - work only on COD basis and only if the courier is willing to open the parcel; if not, send it back.
But if you prepaid and are stuck, don’t lose hope. If even a few of you follow these steps, it will (a) keep them busy and(b) you will hopefully get your money back/
1) To start with "Rediff. Com India Limited’s Corporate Identification Number is(CIN) U22100MH1996PLC096077 and its registration number is 96077. Its registered address is 1ST FLOOR, MAHALAXMI ENGINEERING ESTATE L. J. FIRST CROSS ROAD MAHIM (WEST), MUMBAI - 400016, Maharashtra INDIA. "

4) Since this is an unlisted but Limited Company, and the Directors appear to have some very strange links, mark all your communications ONLY to the Board of Directors at the above address, in addition to the customer service email addresses, add investor@rediff.co.in
5) Usually, REDIFF will point you to the vendor/supplier, which will be an email address, a phone number and a postal address. DO NOT get trapped into long pointless phone conversations, DO NOT waste time on the online steps by REDIFF that are designed to waste time and not resolve issues, but DO send emails to the vendor/supplier with cc to the REDIFF email addresses, requesting the vendor to provide you with CST / LST / PAN / TAN / TIN and VAT details.
6) It is likely that REDIFF and the vendor/supplier will ignore you. Fair enough.
7) It is now time to swing into proper action.
8) Take printouts and lodge a complaint of cheating at the local police station against Board of Directors of REDIFF given above as well as the vendor/supplier. Get the complaint receipted. Scan that receipt copy and send it to all the eMail addresses.
9) Go to the ONLINE PUBLIC GRIEVANCES CELL website which is at https://pgportal.gov.in/
Over here lodge your complaint with the State Government of Maharashtra against REDIFF and with the relevant State Government against the vendor/supplier.
In addition, lodge your grievance about lack of TIN / CST / LST / PAN / VAT number with Ministry of Finance, department of revenue.
In addition, lodge your complaint with Ministry of Consumer Affairs and Department of Electronics and Department of Economic Affairs.
Believe me, at some stage they will reach your home with folded hands and return your money to you.
10) Because, you will also use social media to the best of your abilities.
