I just want to warn you all aginst shopping at Rediff.com, as It has got the worst levels of Customer Service you can Imagine.I would narrate you what I have gone through.
I placed an order for a pair of Russian Binoculars on 23 Oct 2003 and gave an option of Online payment through UTI Bank for 535 bucks and I thought this is the fastest mode of Payment but this was just wishful Thinking on my part.When I again visited the website for tracking my order it showed that My Order was pending, I was Surprised on seeing that.Then I wrote a mail to rediff citing my issues and I didnt recieve any reply for believe or not 7 days.Then after a week I got a mail and was told to send a scanned Copy of my Bank Statement to them.I did that also and the reply I got was that I won`t be able to recieve my order as My Bank has not approved my Order.I went to my Bank and they said that they had debited my account with 535 Bucks.I again wrote a mail back threatening them with going to the Court and after writing 10 mails to them and recieving 6 mails I finally recieved my Order on 24 November which is exactly 1 month after I had placed my Order.So you can well Imagine what misery I have gone throuh.
I strongly advise you all against shopping at rediff.com from now on as if there is any problem they wont be able to help you and the only way out is a threat to sue them. which would become your last resort.
