Order no: 3002598282.
Order Date: 14th August 2013.
Product: Samsung Galaxy Core i8262 Mobile Phone (Metallic Blue).
Promised Delivery: 3 to 7 working days (i.e. Latest by 23 August 2013).
Status: Did not deliver the item. Cancelled the fully paid order after the expiry of Delivery Timeline, claiming that it is out of stock, but on the contrary increased the price of the item clearly In Stock.
I ordered a Samsung Galaxy Core i8262 Mobile Phone (Metallic Blue) on Shopping.Indiatimes.com on 14 August 2013. The cost of the item was INR 12, 900/- and a further discount of INR 1, 548 through Gift Coupon (FLASH1408) was availed. A total of INR 11, 352 was paid using the EMI option through Credit Card.
The delivery was promised within 3 to 7 working days (i.e. Latest by 23 August 2013). However, no delivery was made in spite of lodging a complaint on 20 August 2013 (Case Id. 1040512).
To my utter shock, the order was cancelled by Shopping.Indiatimes.com on 26 August 2013 claiming that the item is out of stock. On the contrary, Shopping.Indiatimes.com increased the price of the item clearly In Stock to 13, 999.
When questioned, Shopping.Indiatimes.com replied by email on 28 August 2013, stating that "if you want the product you can place a fresh order for the same".
i.e. pay 2, 647 extra and wait for another 2 weeks...
Shopping.Indiatimes.com is clearly cheating its customers by increasing the price of the Mobile Phone and then claiming that it is "out of stock".
