I had written a review with the same title for Rediff shopping. After my bad experience with Rediff shopping, I had decided that I will never again shop online.
However, I had to because a Sonu NIgam music album was not available in any of the shops and I had to shop at shopping.indiatimes.com. Hoping for the best, I made the purchase. I decided to choose Cash on delivery option for payment, but they were charging a lot extra for this option! which I was not ready to pay. So, I ended up paying by credit card. They payment was effected immediately. After all, these people are very prompt in taking money. This was on 30th September.
I received a mail confirming the order and receipt of payment. Hover, I did not receive the CD till 7th October. I wrote a mail to customerservice@indiatimes.co.in on 7th October. This was the e-mail ID given in the mail confirming the order. I got a very quick response, THE BOUNCED MAIL! Yes, the e-mail address given by indiatimes.com does not exist!
On 8th October, I went to their website and registered a complaint. It gave me a complaint number. And yes, you guessed it right. Even that comment bounced as an e-mail. These people are running the business of taking money from people and do not disclose an e-mail ID that works!
Finally I received a mail on 9th October saying that the CD has been shipped. I got it on 10th October. This experience has made me take an oath that I will never shop at fraudulent sites like indiatimes and rediff.
