One website which talks about giving cheap flight tickets..they have auctions which give away tickets at nice discounts..we get 4000 rs ticket at 3000 rs..really good..Anyone would love to avail these offers.
BUT AFTER BEING FOOLED...REALLY FOOLED THRICE, I WOULD LOVE NEVER TO BUY TICKETS FROM INDIATIMES AUCTION AGAIN!!!
1ST TIME:Dec 24/Dec 25 confusion -
I was planning on leaving for kerala (thats my native) on the 24th..was thinking would be there for a weeks time when client pressure would be minimal during new year...aaraaam karunga!!!
I logged onto auction.indiatimes.com and got stunned with the offer...ticket for 2800 rs..wow..thats cool..kingfisher website was offering me this ticket for 3500 odd...kewl saving for 700 rs...I confirmed the booking..made the payment.
Next day I got a congratulation mail from indiatimes auction team..CONGRATS SAMMER MENON. YOUR ticket has been confirmed and it mentioned the date as 24th and flight timing as 11:15..fair..thats what I was planning..and the PNR no..so that I could print my e-ticket.
I logged on to https://flykingfisher.biz , searched for my flight..was quite easy.
I was about to print my e-ticket when I noticed 1 thing..oops..this ticket is of the 25th and not of 24th as I had booked!!!!!!I cross-checked for the PNR no..and yes..it was the same..but the date wasn’t!!!!
Now ask anyone what losing 1 day holiday mean???????ITS ACTUALLY A LOT!!!
But I thought..forget it...auction site hai..itna to jhel na padega!!!I went ahead with my the 25th flight.
2ND TIME: April 20/21st confusion -
This time I was booking tickets for my brother. He had just landed at Kerala and wanted to come to Bombay(Mumbai) (Thats the place I was born and brought up at). Now for a person who works abroad, each day of leave is more valuable than mine. I don’t have any return tickets which costs 20-30k...they do..:-)
He had asked me to book couple of tickets. Again I resorted to indiatimes...ek baar hua..baar baar nahi hoga..that was what I thought..
Booked the tickets for 20th April, got the mail from indiatimes..CONGRATS SAMEER MENON...and the PNR details..
Again I logged on to https://flykingfisher.biz..again got stunned!!!the ticket was for the 21st April...wow twice on target...indiatimes makes sure they are 10 on 10 in making blunders!!!!
His return flight from mumbai to kerala was on the day just before he went back to his work place..imagine if such a thing had happened for his return journey from mumbai to kerala??????
3rd and final time: 16th July timing confusion this time!!!
This time I am (i am yet to board that flight) planning on flying back from kerala on the 16th july. And I had a short notice(a weeks time) so getting a ticket was not that easy..it was easy..but it wasn’t that cheap!!!
Again back to auction.indiatimes.com :-)..(ye ladka kab seekhega!!I know thats what you guys must be thinking by now!!!)
I booked tickets from cochin to mumbai that was to depart at 15:55 from cochin..thats what indiatimes auction site said...JUL 16TH , 15:55 HRS!!!!
Again next day, I got a mail from indiatimes...congrats..BLAH BLAH BLAH...and the PNR details..
I log on to https://goair.in ..search for my flight..enter my PNR no..
NOT AGAIN.......the ticket says the flight is at 22:20 hrs from cochin.....
This is the limit...This time I thought I would call them up and ask for a justification!!!
I called goair guys up first..after all its their fault...they gave my wrong flight tickets..
I got a guy on the phone..very helpful...he confirmed my booking..Then I told him about my issue..
"I AM SUPPOSED TO FLY AT 15:55 KA FLIGHT AND NOT 22:20 KA"
He was stunned...after what he replied I was stunned.
SIR, WE HAVE NO FLIGHTS AT 15:55 ON THAT DAY...!!!!
HOW COULD INDIATIMES AUCTION TICKETS OF AN NON-EXISTANT FLIGHT!!!!!
Next I tried to get the contact details of Indiatimes....well..I scanned the entire website..couldn’t find any phone nos...just a feedback form..and we all know..feedback from...WHO READS?????????????
Seriously...indiatimes auction site suxx....they got it wrong 3 out of 3..its 100% in blunders!!!
Well.. I know its an auction site..we have to live with what we get...but itna...none of the times I could travel as per my will..my plans were dictated by an auction site..Am not sure what my fault was...just ki I preferred paying lil less than the premium the airliners asked for...and all three times..ended by paying more..if not financially..but emotionally!!!
I would never-ever in my life prefer indiatimes auction ...n would never refer it too to anyone...seriously..IT SUXX!!!!
