Without reading any reviews and without even thinking second time product was ordered by seeing only the brand name INDIATIMES.
Order no. 3002705529; Product was ordered on 30/09/13. Product delivered with good packing on 03/10/13 that too with 02/10/13 as a public holiday. Delighted to receive the product at such a short time. Now this is where it gets interesting.
Product defective and local service center could not repair it. Service center originated a "Dead On Arrival", certificate on 05/10/13. Replacement process cleared by Indiatimes on same date. Resolution date projected is 30/10/13; (which is quite a long time. I requested them to process my case on priority). Product sent back to Indiatimes office in Delhi for replacement on 07/10/13.
Courier confirmed on 09/10 that product had been delivered to Indiatimes on 08/1013. Even after phone calls and emails no response from Indiatimes till 12/10/13. On 12/10/13 Indiatimes called and confirmed product receipt confirmation date as 11/10/13.( For the intervening three days from 08/10/13 to 11/10/13 nothing could be specified). From 12/10/13 till 18/10/13 I waited for further process from Indiatimes; site shows that replacement is in process. Many calls have been made to Indiatimes and also I had escalated complaint to operation-head at Indiatimes. No response till 17/10/13.
Finally on 18/10/13 evening called Indiatimes customer service and requested for cancellation of order. Today received response from Indiatimes operation-head that replacement is process with logistic team.
Such is the bad followup service of Indiatimes. Maybe one could order a new product from them. But when it comes to replacement of faulty product all queries to the customer-service and operation-head reaches you nowhere. When you get tired of waiting and want to cancel the order they say logistic team is in the process of replacement.
It is just waste of invaluable time shopping with Indiatimes. The good will and the brand name of Indiatimes is being wasted.
