I m a regular online shopper for the past 7-8 yrs [ebay, flipkart, infibeam, firstcry etc], but never had any problem. My first bad experience in online shopping came from prestigious TIMES OF INDIA GROUP.
To my bad luck I saw a mail from them with Navratri offer, got tempted, did not think twice as INDIATIMES SHOPPING is a subsidiary of TIMES OF INDIA GROUP.
I ordered a LED TV on 19-10-12, paid through creditcard. The shipping date promised was 26-10-12.
So I waited till 26-10-12, tried to chat with Customer care. Mr.Anil kumar from CC came for chat.I am sorry to say the worst ever cust care representative I have ever seen/interacted. The moment I ask him about shipping he will end the chat, initially I thought its network problem but later understood he is doing this wantedly. It happened for 15 times. Then I understood he is good for nothing guy so called them up.
Then spoken to Mr.Pankaj , he said politely he will raise a complaint. So on 27-10-12 he raised a complaint on Non delivery. Surprisingly by 27th afternoon they have put up Bluedart express tracking number. I felt happy. But later I blame to know it’s a fake tracking number. Till today [01-11-12], after 5 days, Blue dart says Tracking number does not exist.
I got a mail from Mr.Vikas Paliwal, cusr care CRE, on 30-10-12, saying that he wanted to close the case.
Tried to contact him several times. To my surprise CC reps started blaming me, saying that Mr.Vikas Paliwal, tried to contact me 9 am in the morning, I did not take the call. It was a +911 series, I was driving, thought it a promotional call. They started behaving as if I made a big mistake.
To my surprise Mr.Pankaj, says my item has been packed and kept ready for shipping since 27-10-12, but no body knows, why it has not been shipped. Asked me to wait for another 24-48 hrs.
I called them again on 31-10-12, tried to contact Mr.Vikas Paliwal, got same reply to wait for another 24-48 hrs. But I insisted on talking to Mr.Vikas Paliwal. They said he will call me back by evening. I waited till 5 pm called again. Finally Mr.Vikas Paliwal called me back. But to my surprise, he says he to don’t know why my item was not shipped. [Then why did he call me ?] . He said he will look into this matter, asked me wait for 14days [ can you believe it?] . Already 12 days spent, Now another 14 days.
But he said he will show personal interest in this matter. Let me see what he does?
Its like punishment for me, for trusting TIMES OF INDIA GROUP. Previously I had similar experience[ sent me a damaged item, but shipped before time limit] from Timtara, but got a refund + compensation, after I put up a case in consumer forum.

Remark 2: Today 30-10-12, at 5 am I checked again on bluedart. still says airway bill no does not exist. I feel its bad on part of The prestigious times of India group to cheat people like this. Finally My item shipped on 01-11-12. [ definitely credit goes to Mr.Subith , who kept his word.]
Shipped by bluedart, on priority. Mr . Subith followed it , kept on updating me regularly.
Finally delivered to me on 04-11-12. [ since its sunday , I had to pick it up from Blue dart office WELL}
PACKING WAS REALLY EXCELLENT. I HAD FEW DOUBTS ABOUT SAFETY OF TV IN SHIPPING. THE WAY THEY PACKED IT WAS AMAZING. [ WOODEN FRAME+ THERMACOAL+CARDBOARD].
THANKS TO THE SHIPPER FOR THIS. THE WEIGHT OF THE PACKAGE WENT UPTO 20KGS AFTER PACKING [ACTUAL 8KGS]
