I ordered Nokia Lumia 820 though Indiatimes shopping and got a fabulous discount of more than 2300 bucks i.e. 10%. The phone cost me about 21000 only. This was the lowest rate that I could get anywhere in Delhi/NCR and online shopping websites. This is the reason I went ahead with purchasing the product from them. This was my first online shopping experience with Indiatimes. While placing the order I was allowed to enter my postal PIN code on the basis of which the site clearly informed me about 10 working days delivery.
I was prepared for it. After placing the order my delivery date was scheduled to 17th April. I got the order receipt delivered to my mailbox. On 7th April, I made a call to their customer care who informed me that the order would be shipped latest by 12th April. For me, it was OK as I was already informed that delivery would be done by 17th April. I again made a call to them on 11th April.
By this time, I was expecting that the order would have been dispatched, therefore on hearing from the customer care that the order is still not dispatched and would be ship only on 12th was disheartening. I asked them to take my complain but they refused to take the complaint and told me that complaint is possible only on or after 12th April This sounded very stupid to me. But anyways, I ignored the same.
This was the time when I checked mouthshut.com for existing reviews about Indiatimes shopping and after going through reviews I was totally horrified. On 12th morning I created a case on their website and again called them. They repeated the same old story and told me that order would be shipped today. But because I had already created the case about the order not shipped, I got a call from their complaint manager by the afternoon who convinced me that order would be shipped within next 48 hours.
I was not liking their behavior because though my mind was prepared for 17th delivery but it was also at the same time prepared for shipping latest by 12th. But still, I stayed calm and decided to wait for another 48 hours for Indiatimes to ship the order.
To my surprise, this morning, i.e. 14th April, I received my Nokia Lumia 820 which is well before 17th April, in good condition. I am very happy that Indiatimes lived to their commitments. However, my suggestion for Indiatimes is that they need big big big improvement in their customer care/service which is of no use to a customer in the current state.
A customer places a call to the customer care with expectation that his query would either be resolved or at least the customer care would assure that necessary steps are being taken to resolve customer complaints and issues. But in case of Indiatitmes shopping customer care executives are of no help and at the same time tends to get frustrated if asked a few questions. In fact they also start misbehaving and loose control on their tongues.
Indiatimes, if you are listening to me you just need to IMPROVE THIS! Apart from this, for me you did an excellent job in delivering the product before time!
