I am an old and faithful customer of Indiatimes. But recent incidences have given me a very bad impression.
On Jul 13, 2008 I made an order through Indiatimes shopping. order number is 111192714.
On Jul 17, 2008 the status of the order changed to "Order shipped".
On Jul 21, 2008 I enquired through Indiatimes costomer care (9910118888) about the order. I was told that it take 5 working days to ship the order and I would get the same by Jul 23, 2008.
I called again on Jul 23, 2008 hen I did not get the order. I was told that I would be updated about the oder within 48 hours.
On Jul 25, 2008, I got a phone call from Indiatimes confirming my order but he was not able to tell me by when I would get it. I told him "please provide me the date by which I would get the order or at least cancel the order".
On Jul 25, 2008, I called Indiatimes customer care (9910118888) at about 2:45 PM and talked to Gagan. Gagan told me that it takes 7 working days to ship the order. When I reminded him that even 7 working days are over, he was not able to give me any reason why the order has not reached me. Once again I asked Gagan that - "please provide me the date by which I would get the order or at least cancel the order". Gagan took down my request for cancellation and gave me the request number - 698917. When I asked hin by what date would I get my money back, Gagan told me that - WITHIN 7 DAYS I WOULD BE TOLD ABOUT THE STATUS OF MY CANCELLATION REQUEST.
When I asked to talk to his manager he told me that his manager is busy and cant talk to me.
Needless to say I feel distressed and haressed. Indiatimes seems to give the impression that they are not accounable and shoppers should sop there at their own risk. It puts the intigrity of the whole eShop in question.
Earlier also I made an order on Jun 30, 2008 (Order # 111177396). The money was refunded on Jul 8, 2008 citing "Out Of stock".
They are ridiculus on top of being arrogant.
