I am writing this review after going through so many reviews (mostly negative) posted here. But more than that, I experienced it myself when I ordered **Nokia Lumia 720** via **Order no: 3002318398** on 15-May-2013.
First of all what attracted me to this website was the midnight flash deals that they come up with. Awesome discount and competitive pricing. To have a cherry on the cake, I was able to pay for my order in 6 months interest free EMIs (with no processing fee as well). However, to help you guys more on 360-degree aspect of this website, let me take you one step at a time.
I didn’t checked for the review of the website before placing my order. However, after placing the order I thought of checking it. I was horrified to see such negative reviews and was in disguise on whether should I cancel my order. However, below are some of the points which made me stick to my order.
Shopping.Indiatimes.com is **official partner of Nokia**. Well, I see the official Nokia-Store hosted on this website. This means that my product is definitely available with them and they won’t screw-up their alliance with a big company like Nokia by giving bad customer experience.
*Service & Support:** After going through negative review, I decided to give a try to customer support. I contacted them through online chat. Initially, it took some time for the customer support executive to respond. However, once connected he answered all my queries and assured that my order will be dispatched on 22-May-2013. Let me tell you that the expected delivery date for my order was mentioned as 27-May-2013 at the time of order. So this one goes **positive** to me. A true 5-star experience.
*Information Depth:** The information what I found for my order on the website is something that you expect every website to do. However, I could not find any product review towards bottom of the page. Well, that depends on the users who go back and update that review. So a 4-star here.
*Content Timeliness:** I am not exactly sure what this parameter means. However, if I consider the over information mentioned on the website, I was pretty satisfied with what I found. However, some specification related to my order were mentioned incorrectly. This doesn’t matter to me though because I always check the manufacturer’s website for the most accurate specifications. So a 4-star here.
*Design/Usability:** Well, this is something that I experienced. I was in office when I tried to place my order. To my surprise, I was not able to login to this website on my office computer. No even on my colleague system. Then I finally placed order using my smartphone (android). Then I checked again after coming home and I was able to login using my home laptop. Quite weird but true. This may be some software issue or something. I give a 4-star here to be able to order using mobile.
*Website load time:** Well the home page is pretty slow to load, if you are not having a high-speed internet connection. It can be worse if you are using your mobile without 3G connection. But once the homepage is there, everything else is a breeze. 4-star again.
*CONCLUSION:** Guys, I know many of you have bad experiences but that’s all part of a business. Out of a 100 customers, there are always 2-3 customer who get severely effected. I checked the reviews of flipkart.com where I am a regular and a happy customer. I saw that has got bad ratings as well. One thing I can be sure of by this is that **only the customers who suffer post a review. The happy customers sit back and relax at their home.*
One more thing, have a check around all the reviews. Almost most of them have got a corporate response. This definitely means that they are trying to fix the wrongs and make you a happy customer.
I hope my review will help some guys over there to take a wise decision. Happy shopping.
*Suggestion to Indiatimes guys:** If you are able to deliver the product well before the expected delivery date, why don’t you decrease the timeline mentioned in the product description. It will help you attract more customers and you will be on par with websites like Flipkart, Ebay and Snapdeal.
*UPDATE:** Just now I checked my order status online. It shows the courier information updated along with the AWB No. This means to me that the order has been dispatched but the order status says "In Progress". Anyways, I am pretty hopeful that I will get my order delivered well before the expected delivery date i.e. 27-May-2013.
