I am an aggrieved customer of Indiatimes Shopping. I had entrusted them with my money assuming it to be a Times Group company and had expected top class customer commitment from them. Seems like I was either mistaken or was dreaming. They way Indiatimes is treating its customers, it raises questions over entire Times Group itself.
To cut long story short, I placed an order for a Panasonic Cube AC on 14th Aug 2012 and to my shock even without delivery the order status was changed to completed/delivered. I immediately called up their customer care and was provided with a case no for my problem. Following this, delivery was attempted at my place, which I returned as the product was damaged. The AC seemed to have been thrown from a floor height to describe the product condition.
I was then assured by their Vendor that I will be provided with a replacement product, which never happened. Finally on 27th Aug, after hearing today mam, today mam, I called up indiatimes to cancel my order. Since then, I am being promised a call back in 24 hrs and action asap, but nothing happens. I have tried calling them atleast once in 2 days but everytime the answer is different. I was told the order is cancelled on one occasion, on another I was told, replacement product is under process and was told we will talk to vendor and if it can be cancelled we’ll cancel and refund the money. This highlights a major disconnect between different customer service guys, so either they just tell stories out of nowhere or think of the customer to be a total idiot.
Finally, after a lot of chase up I got a call from their end, and to my amusement, he tried to again seek confirmation if I still wanted to cancel my order. Boss – do you think I have been kidding with your team for last 2 weeks now? And again he needed 2-3days to get back me. what the heck?
This is no way of treating your customers, and no way of treating your customer’s hard earned money. I can provide the order number and case no for reference in case needed. Also, I have tried to put one liners as remarks on the case on occasions on their website and have screenshot as proof of the same. Also, I have provided similar feedback to them as part of order feedback option available on their website, but nothing seems to move them.
