I had placed a bid on an Electrolux microwave oven and was eventually declared a winner and my credit card was charges Rs. 9010 on the 7th of April 2005, I was assured of delivery within 2-3 weeks, I was kind of excited that I will get the product I was getting excited on the 12th of April I sent a mail to the India times auctions site to check the status of delivery and I was assured of delivery with 5-6 days. The wait was on and then I started calling them up initially the response was your product will be delivered within 2-3 days and it kept on repeating and then India Times people stopped responding to the calls. Then I got suspicion and started reading the reviews on Mouth shut it was a real eye opener and I realized that I was being taken for a ride and the product was never to some. So on 29th April I eventually managed to get some one over phone (in the mean while the India Times office had shifted to Gurgaun and the no’s had changes wasn’t updated on the web site. The no on website was of fax) and I demanded the refund of my money as the product was not delivered, again they started playing the old trick of your product is already dispatched you will get delivery in 2 days. On the 2nd of April finally they acknowledged that they DO NOT HAVE THE PRODUCT of whose payment they have already taken a month back, again the same raga of your product will be delivered in 2 – 3 days but this time I threatened India Times of dire consequences and legal action if it was not refunded so ultimately on the 9th of may I got my refund after writing 50 mails and phone calls worth 2000 rupees. So I would suggest people to look around with local dealers and pay for the product after the delivery.
