In March 2007 I bought a Sony 6 GB MP3 player for 4990/- I thought it
was a good deal as the actual price of this product is 9999/- The
colour of the player was pink which my son refused outright as we had
been told it would be black. Within a month the earplugs stopped
working & within 6 mnths the volume button came off rendering it
useless. I contacted Indiatimes & they gave me their vendors phone
no - KMI Business Technologies in Mumbai. I live in Pune so it was not
easy for me to give it to them. I didnt hear from them for 2
weeks .their Technical guy kept mumbling that they are searching for
spare parts. Finally they couriered it to me without repairing it
saying that the warranty period had expired( in 6 mnths) & no
separate parts are available &" IF I REQUIRE I HAVE TO BUY NEW ONE
". As if I need his permission for buying one! I think they are
selling shoddy stuff & there is no scope for repair once it fails.
Bottom line .DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FRM INDIATIMES.COM .however good
a bargain it looks on paper:(
Thnx Amit for your comments. Well I know now by experience NEVER to buy
anything online.Im crossing my fingers cos before this MP3 conked
.I bought an Olympus Digital Camera. If only Id read the ton of bad
reviews posted here on Indiatimes.Com I would have steered far away
from them:)
