I purchased an iPhone 4s from this site on 17th Dec 2012 and I got my expected delivery date as 27th dec 2012 . I got a gift card discount of 4.5k. After this my worry started, people started telling I may get cheated, local store person told me nobody can give that offer and I might get used/unlocked/duplicate phone. When I read reviews in web I got more worried.
They did not ship the item until 24th Dec 2012, so I called the site, they were polite and told me I will get proper time delivery. And I am happy I got delivery on time and genuine and new iPhone.
Suggestions to Buyers- Try to buy only branded products, as these sites will not have proper control on all of their sellers. When you want something urgently try to avoid online buying, as delay can happen coz extinction of stock or courier. You are dealing with big shopping groups mismatch of things can happen be careful but keep trust or weigh risk benefit ratio. Whenever you have good experience post that also so the reviews can be fare.
Suggestions to indiatimes shopping- Try to improve delivery time, ship the products as soon as payment is confirmed why simply delay. Identify the sellers who get bad response from buyers and ban them from selling from your site permanently, why lose reputation for some cheap money. Develop more efficient system for Screening sellers and products. It is Good to respond to the complaints on these consumer websites keep it up but if the issue is solved request the buyers to change the review ratings.
This review is not to counteract reviews which have complaints, but to share good experience also so that these websites become more responsible. Overall I am happy.
