Over two months ago I ordered a product on Indiatimes Shopping.
I was happy to see that my delivery came within the stipulated time. However, the happiness was short lived. When I opened the package I noticed they had shipped to me an incorrect product.
Believing their customer care will handle the case efficiently and promptly I wrote in and registered my complaint(Complaint no. 951241). I was told that theyapologize and wouldescalate the issue andkeep me updated
Like I mentioned earlier, this was two months ago. In the two months since registering my complaint here is what has happened.
I received their standardized mail the first time.
Two weeks after my first complaint I had still not received any update.
I mailed customer care once more.
To which I received another standardized mail sayingwe apologize for the inconvenience -we will escalate the issue -we will keep you updated.
I waited another two weeks but received no further update.
I mailed them once more.
Received the very same standardized mail response.
Finally I mentioned I wanted a refund.
I received a call from an executive.
The executive didnt mention his name, however he was rude and quite frankly insulting. I asked him when I should expect to receive my refund / product he responded sayingyoull get it when you get it
Now, I think two months is a long enough wait and so I made sure I went public writing about the issue on my social media platforms.
Once I did this I received innumerable standardized mails from the customer care team, this time they said the issue would be resolved by the 30th of September.
However, Ive waiting two months already with no progress on the matter, what surety do I have that come 30th September the issue will be resolved?
And so, I have decided to take Indiatimes Shopping to consumer court.
