Wish to caution all intended users of shopping on indiatimes shopping that you are likely to be cheated. Let me brief you on my experience. I had made a purchase of Reader Digest on the 26th of March 2010 and expected that the subscription would start within the next 30 to 45 days timeframe and as promised I will be given the free gifts as advertised.
When I did not receive any response after 35 odd days, I decided to call them up. To my surprise, the customer care agent (CCA) informed that the time frame of 45 days and hence I had to wait until then. I did not have a choice but wait. I received the first copy of RD for the month of April 2010 around the 10th of May 2010. hearing nothing in terms of the free gifts in spite of sending 2 mails, I decided to call up, was in for a shock. The CCA (someone named Mohit Singhal) was so rude, informed that the free gifts will be sent only around the 4th and the 6th subscription.
What is surprising that an online store of BCCL demands some amount of goodwill and trust, whch is absent. Its not about the free gifts, but the commitment level of the company. There is absolutely nothing as customer service, the company believes to cheat customer or take them for a ride.
I shall never ever use their services nor shall recommend to anyone.
