I placed an order(#3001274806) for TWO rakhi hampers with shopping.indiatimes.com. They sent ONE.
I live in the US. By the time I/my brothers realized the goof-up and complained it was past their 24-hour timeline. Yes, my bad. I didnt read the fine print in theTerms and Conditions. That however wasnt the contention with the Indiatimes Service Center till today! They did raise a Case ID(351628) for me on Aug 10, 2012 and took my complaint to complete the order(not refund, I couldnt ask for that). But no onediligently worked on it(Quoting one Mr. Prashant Singh in his e-mail to me on Aug 17, 2012. He was referring to one Mr. Ajay Jain who communicated with me via e-mail on Aug 8, 2012). When I finally lost all patience and called them today(Sep 13, 2012) it took them over 45 minutes and severalholds in between to tell me that I was losing my money, time, energy and trust with them.
I would never have lost my mind over a matter like this, if it was not for the Rakhis I ordered. If it were anything else, I might not even have called their customer service. Over the calls that I made, I have figured that the hapless CS executives suffer the brunt of our outbursts. I apologize to Suyash whotried to convince me that he wouldtake up the case in person but followed up enough to to tell me after 35 minutes into the call that I was fighting a futile battle. But I am appalled at the ineffective training these poor guys get. They dont know even the rules of the company they handle calls for! Half of them dont know that customers(like me) could be calling from a different time zone or that they cannot be returning calls to an international number(they even dont seem to be able to recognize one if given to them with the country code)!
Im just losing sleep over this. Ive said enough. You should know better by now that I DO NOT RECOMMEND this online shop.
