I recently placed an order with indiatimes for a water geyser Inalsa (order id 3001605404) and thought it would be delivered to me in about 10 days. I didnt got any response from indiatimes and after 10 days they called me up saying that the product you ordered is now out of stock so you can choose a different order (paying the difference) or take a refund. So, at the first place they shouldnt have taken the order when they didnt had the product available. I told the customer support that I want the same product and dont want a refund and he told me that he will talk to the supervisor and let me know.
In the evening I received a mail saying that your order is cancelled. They didnt even bothered to intimate me before cancelling the order. Its very easy to understand that they keep consumer money for around 20 days and invest it somewhere and after that return the money saying we dont have the product. There is no point I would ever look up to indiatimes again for shopping and would also advise others not to do the same. I am also filling a legal suite against the company in consumer court as this is no where mentioned in the terms and conditions. I dont think anyone can take money for the product which it doesnt have.
