Not A Good First Time Experience

UPDATE: Today on 24th August, I have received my shipment. It’s two days past the Expected Delivery Date of 22nd Aug, but I can live with that. The outer packing was good, however, the seal of the mobile box was open & inside the box, a part of it was torn, don’t know why. Yet to find out whether it was tampered in any way. Hope it is not. But considering the amount of time & energy I had to waste interacting with pathetic Customer Care executives of Indiatimes in between, it’s really disappointing.


Anyway, I would like to thank Mr. Bhalla, he is the only person, who came up with some useful information & helped me through. It’s people like them, who are the only reason why Indiatimes Shopping is even operating still now. Kudos to him.


After very good experiences on various occasions from sites like Flipkart, for the first time, I have placed an order on Indiatimes Shopping solely because of the offered price. But I should have gone through the reviews here first, which unfortunately I did not. :-(


On 10th Aug, I have placed an order for a Samsung  Galaxy S Duos (white), Order No. 3002586987, expected Delivery Date is 22nd Aug. However, I am yet to receive any update, whatsoever, regarding shipping of the same. And today, while going through the other reviews, I have come across another person, who had also ordered the same mobile on 5th Aug, was asked by Indiatimes Shopping to cancel the order, since they don’t have stock.


However, I have checked their website & even today, the item is offered for sell & declared to be "IN STOCK" (https://shopping.indiatimes.com/mobiles/samsung/samsung-galaxy-s-duos-s7562-white-/25014/p_B1037450). I have made a call to them on 13th Aug, their customer care representative has assured me of timely delivery, which they they are paid to do, of course. And today, I have sent a mail also & now simply keeping my fingers crossed & waiting.


I am really horrified now. Don’t know what price I have to pay for making this mistake of going with Indiatimes Shopping. What kind of nonsense is this, I really don’t know. Never expected this kind of experience from Times Group. If you can’t afford to sell an item at a lower price, then don’t offer it at that price. At least, please don’t cheat the customers.
