There is no doubt that Indiatimes.com is the most popular indian website and its halfprice shop is all the more sought after section of the netizens. But believe me as the name suggests you pay half the price so you get half the worth only, so truly speaking there is nothing wrong !!!
This website has become popular with its wide publicity and plethora of interseting infomation on it. Its coverage of Auctions and on line shopping is great. But this much acclaimed publicity can go down the dust with the kind of after service offered by them.
God save those who surf indiatimes.com. It being my sons birthday who is three and half, I found a piano on the half price shop which they claimed worth 700 was on sale at half price shop for 350. I ordered for the one. But when the consignemnt reached, to put an element of surprise we didnot open it and handed over to my son when he was back from school.
Indeed the vendor had instored an element of surprise. The piano was broken in to two. The packing was hopeless without any thermocol being used. It was just wrapped in a palstic sheet. The quality of the product too was extremely poor. Now on complaining, they did arrange for its pick up but with an instruction to use thermocol for the return shipment!! The packing which a regular vendor cannot do but same is expected of a common individual.
Anyway, the replacement came but again with the same kind of packing i.e. without thermocol and on opening it was again the same old story( broken in to two.). Not wise after the incident. Thats the online experience, I had with indiatimes.com .
Will I ever again dare to order or use their site?? Now I have requested them to give back my money and forget replacement. The same is still awaited. Now I had to buy another from the market as the promise made to son has to be honoured as I cannot be like indiatimes.com.. Believe me the same piece I bought for INR 125.
