Bad Support, False Info, Will Not Refund - Updated

Have bought a lot of stuff over 2 years. A good alternative for buying online from US and UK stores.


Lately(2011) the following issue plagues this shopping portal.




  1. Delivery gets delayed regularly(over 30days now a days).




  2. Refund gets delayed(in my case refund is due for cancelled transaction on 10.01.2012)




  3. Can’t reach customtakeouter care on phone. Online chat or Call back options available on website do not work.(suspect heavy calls to customtakeouter care or staff crunch). Sometimes they reply to emails but not all emails are responded to Rajeev_Vermacially when it is a case failed committments.




  4. If you accept refund in SYW Cash(Cash Deposit with SYW) then it cannot be withdrawn. One Must shop(this is not informed whle giving refund).






Presently I have applied for chargeback with Citibank(received temp credit - credit card transaction) & ICICI Bank(Debit card transaction) for delay in refund of cancelled transactions.


When this site and support services worked earlier, then it was a wonderful experience, not anymore.


Update 28.03.2012


I have finally got intimation of transaction reversal by ICICI Bank.


Till date sent about 9 reminders to shopyourworld.com. Received 3 false refund email replies. Eventually it was ICICI Bank which acted on my complaint.


Update 10.03.2012


I’ve sent them 5th Reminder to process my refund, they no longer respond. Pathetic. I really hope my request with ICICI Bank get’s me result. I shall never shop with shopyourworld.com.
