I believe every action has two faces to it, one which a person see’s and the other which they can’t or even if they do, they tend to ignore it. What can be really the motive behind closing pubs at 11pm?
let me enumerate the ruckus involved with pubs, most of the drunk driving cases which are reported, more than 60%of them are reported at night, which directly points fingers to the places which serve liquor at night time . Its a rule in most of the places the liquor shops close before 9 pm especially in delhi, and therefore people resort to pubs and are involved in drunk driving cases in many instances.
second issue is of security, we are still lacking on the front of security especially in the odd hours and there are reported cases of molestation, drunk driving.
No proper age verification at pubs which lead to youth getting indulged into consumption of liquor and at times involved in fights which in long term hampers the productivity of nation as a whole as its a shear wastage of young talent.
I believe until there is a proper mechanism set up with adequate safety measure, pubs should be closed down early.
