We hate to recollect this unpleasant experience, though a friend requested to share our experience, hence sharing here. This is one of the most unpleasant experiences we had, it was when we were expecting our first child.
We were consulting the gynaecologist Dr. BHarati Dhorepatil. We used to visit her clinic in ShivajiNagar Pune, a super specialty, fertility clinic it was called, she used to charge about 1000 Rs per visit.
We later found that she has a clinic pretty close to where we lived and requested her if we could see her in the nearby clinic, as that was at a walking distance. She was hesitant, though agreed later.
We started noticing that her behaviour, tone and approach changed and was not very friendly in this other clinic, here she charged about 300 Rs per visit. She used to get irritated if we asked questions, and would not say much if we did not ask. She mentioned during one of the visits that she will arrange a replacement doctor in case she is not in town around the due date. Everything was alright until the last days. Towards EDD, we went for a scheduled checkup when she got angry as to why we did not visit her earlier, she said she is now going to Germany to deliver some lecture. We told her that we came as per the visit scheduled. To our utter surprise she simply refused to take our case further and also refused to arrange a replacement doc.
Thats when my wifes stress levels started going up, bp started shooting and delivery was due in a week.
We had to search a new doctor at the last moment, nobody wants to take a case towards the last days of pregnancy if the doc was not originally consulted. But we were very lucky to find a messiah very kind doctor named Dr. Vaishali Chaudhary. Who not only took our case but did all she could to make it a smooth process. At last everything was good.
But the earlier doc. and I hate to call her a doctor or a human being, I believe she should be banned from practicing even on animals. Dr. Bharati Dhorepatil. Later we came to know that she forcefully carried C-section for many of her patients before going to Germany.
