I loved Shrek. No, not the ogre Shrek, the movie. I had wanted to write a review on it, but I?m afraid I?ve forgotten it. Hey, no ? I haven?t gotten short-term amnesia!

When the ogres Shrek and Fiona return from their idea of a honeymoon ? bathing in mud and breaking down gingerbread cottages ? they are invited by Fiona?s parents, the King and Queen of Far Far Away.
Shrek is reluctant to go, but Fiona persuades him. Donkey hops along, and they all make the long journey to Far Far Away, where the name is spelt out on a mountain like Hollywood. As soon as they reach, there is a hushed silence. The evil Fairy Godmother separates Shrek and Fiona so that Fiona and her son can get married. Will Shrek and Donkey, along with the three blind mice, the Gingerbread man, Puss in Boots, Pinocchio and the Three Little Pigs, be able to outwit this dastardly fairy?
This film is amazing. The screenplay is brilliantly written, the graphics are excellent and the storyline is amazing ? never seen a fairytale like this before!
Mike Myers is great as the voice of Shrek, with the deep accent. I myself think that Shrek?s voice is a little strange for an ogre ? but it suits him, I guess. Shrek is a mean-looking ogre with a soft heart.
Cameron Diaz as Fiona is excellent. Her voice is brilliant for the princess/ogre Fiona, and is exactly as she should sound. Fiona is a princess who is now an ogre, and she likes it.
Eddie Murphy is as brilliant as ever as the voice of Donkey, the stupid animal who does not ever leave Shrek alone.
Any mistakes? Of course there will be. Nothing?s perfect, you know. One of those is when the Fairy Godmother says that The Little Mermaid (original) had a happy ending. It didn?t. Hey, I noticed that Puss-in-Boots sounded exactly like Garfield when he said ?I hate Mondays.?
The film also has a nice soundtrack. Some of the songs are wild and brazen; some are soft and romantic; while some are taken from singers. But they are all a pleasure to listen to.
