The movie ’’Shrek’’ was a delight. Rivaling the king of animation movies, Walt Disney, Shrek competes admirably. The animation is excellent, the sound is above average and the story itself is entertaining. It’s a fairytale that actually spoofs other well known fairytales (Pinocchio, Peter Pan, etc.) The characters voices are extremely well done (see list below) and entertaining. I won’t go into the storyline as I believe many of you will see this movie (whether you admit it or not). Although it’s rated PG, there may be some dialogue not suitable for the younger audience which I happened to enjoy. I think the PG rating is fair enough as a rating of PG-13, may be too strong and deter some parents from taking their kids. Despite these slight drawbacks, Shrek is a Fairy Tale that can be enjoyed by children and their parents. Take a break, go see Shrek. This ’’big kid’’ enjoyed it. You probably will too !
