Saw the Movie ’’Shrek’’ while visiting my 4 yr old grandson..
I didn’t expect to enjoy it,
I thought it was just for the little ones!
I loved it! and was quite surprised to see other people
watching the Movie without Kids!
Shrek is an Ogre, he looks mean, and large and very green!
(Ugly, as he is an Ogre)But he is an Ogre with a difference.
He is an intelligent guy, who likes his privacy..
He is followed home by a Donkey, named Donkey.
(voice ..Eddie Murphy) this donkey won’t go away
and leave Shrek alone..
Shrek tells him he can sleep outside of the cottage,
not inside!
To Shreks horror, his cottage is full of Fairy story
folks. ’’The Three Blind Mice’’ and others, are cavorting
around his property...
He learns that Lord Farguaad, has ordered them out of
the Kingdom...(Farquaad ..Voice John Lithgow)
So they show up on Shrek’s doorstep..
Shrek makes a deal with Farguaad, he will bring back
a princess who is being held by a Dragon.
(Princess Voice..Cameron Diaz)
In return, he wants his privacy back,
and the Fairy story people, off his compound!
Well It all works out, and I won’t tell more,
as I don’t wish to spoil the story..
It is a Love Story with a message..
And it will not bore you at all..
Mike Meyers.. is the Voice of Shrek!
Mike plays him with a wonderful Scottish accent.
It wasn’t much of a stretch for Mike, as his mother
is from Scotland, and Mike grew up in Canada listening
to that accent!
There is a little bit of Adult reference to sex,
but so slight, the little kids wouldn’t notice it..
I would not let that stop you from bringing them!
I recommend this Movie to all, even if you don’t have any Kids..
