"Shukrtaal" History of thousand years

About 5000 years ago, in the Dwapar era, the son of Abhimanyu was disturbed by the roar of hunger and thirst in search of hunting and looking for water, he reached Shamik Muni’s ashram where Muni was installed  Samadhi.

The king asked water for many times, but when no answer was received, the king raised a dead snake from the point of the bow, put it in the neck of Shamik Muni, but Shamik Muni did not know about this incident in Samadhi.

When Shringi Rishi, son of Shamik Muni, came to know about this, he cursed the king in anger that whoever killed the snake in my father’s neck, will be killed on the seventh day from the snake bite. When Shamik Muni’s Samadhi was opened and all the news was discovered, Muni sorrowfully said to Shringi that he is the king of our country and explained that the king has the power of power. The king can misuse that power, but the sage has the power of sadhana and the sage should not misuse the force of cultivation, therefore the king should not have cursed you.

When he came to know that he became frightened and started looking for a remedy for this crime, then Vyasji showed his path to Shri Bhagwadgita for his liberation and told him that death is the only true truth in this world and that he is from Shukdev muni Srimadbhavadgita tells to read the text.

Shukdev Muni asked Parikshit for a haven at a peaceful place on the bank of river Ganges and said that you should listen to Lord Srimadbhavadgita with full devotion and apologize to God.

Under the tree of Ganga, Shukdev Ji gave Gita knowledge to the king, but according to the curse of Muni, on the seventh day, the King’s examination was carried out by snake bites.

The name of this place was named after the name of Shukdev Muni.

To go to the Shukrtaal you will have to travel on the road of Morna-Bijnor through Muzaffarnagar Bypass and you can reach the  Shukrtaal.

This mythological site, situated on the banks of the Ganga, is the center of a famous faith in western Uttar Pradesh. Every year there is a large fair held on Kartik Purnima, in which millions of people take bath in Ganga.

At the place where Shuk Devji had narrated the story to the king, the tree that is thousands of years old is still located here.
