Masterpiece

Marathi filmdom had great traditions but for some or the other reason it had lost the quality for a long time But after SHWAS it has changed totally. SHWAS is really a masterpiece. It has roots to the marathi soil.

A perfect regional movie but with a subject which can touch the feelings of a sensible viewer anywhere in the world. Therefore it is worth of getting the prestigious Oscar.

Very powerful story.solid performances from all the actors .The plot has background of the lovely Konkan (my own Konkan) ! !Photographer Sanjay Memane has done a great job behind the camera while Ashwin and Arun before the camera.

The people of Konkan are always compared with the jackfruit !

which is robust on exterior but very sweet inside !!

One more significant feature of this film is that it is not a lengthy one like Lagaan (previous nominee for Oscar) It runs for around 2 hours only. But even in this short time it gives a wonderful experience.

You must watch Shwas if you are in hunt for some classic.
