I have always liked Siemens Gigasets cordless phones for their design and features. I use them both at home and work. Having used these multiple cordless(i have more than 7 units with 15 to 20 handsets), crystal clear audio and advance features of 2 line etc I rate them as a fantastic product. I am limiting my reviews to very high end expensive cordless phones when the average spends are upwards of INR 10K. Regular cordless phones break even in a few months so it is not fair to rate them in the same space.
However I think these phones are not designed for regular usage in India where the power fluctuations are commonplace not only from utility providers but even on the telephone network that work on 50+ volts. To be fair to Siemens, I have seem many brands of high end cordless phones getting destroyed because of this issue. Having learnt the hard way, these days I have a power conditioner(high end pure sine wave output) that also conditions my phone n/w. These power equipments are not easy to maintain and very expensive.
Add to that lack of service support in India for Siemens high end cordless phones. I recommend these phones to be purchased only if there is a complete service provided by a local provider in India. Before you buy ensure complete service availability esp when purchasing from e-commerce sites that sound as if these are made for India. When in confusion stay safe.
