Not durable, costly maintenance

Purchased IQ100 in 2011 for 24K blindly trusting German Engineering. Broke down last week, scheduled an appointment for service engineer. Service engineer charges Rs.800 as visiting charges. thats too much,  they don’t carry any parts, they will just diagnose the problem and if any parts required to be replaced they will come back again.

In my case there was as issue with water inlet, WM was not taking water from input, the service guy had crappy multimeter which blew off while testing, so he made guess that water inlet valve is faulty so he came with the valve next day, he brought some old valve which he claimed was new, (which wasn’t as it was pale yellow colored. just like my machines valve) this one did not work so he used another which was properly box packed and brand new white colored, but that also did not solve the problem.

So made another guess that PCB need replacement, after two days he called up and said PCB replacement will cost RS.9000. 9000? are you serious?, I contacted local guy and he said he can repair the board in Rs2500 and will give 6 months warranty on it.  So I am going to try this now.

I would suggest not to but Siemens WM, because its not durable and very costly to maintain as the parts are very very costly.
