I very much suggest the IFB or Whirlpool when it comes to front loading washing machines. I am talking from my experience. To start with, the Siemens is pricy, and then comes the biggest jolt, the poor or non-existing after-sales service of Siemens.
All spare parts are imported and are very pricy. I bought the washing machine for 16, 000 and now, the repair bill comes to 12, 500. When I contacted the customer service, they stopped taking my calls after my initial complaint. The customer service manager was an idiot and was not ready to admit the failures in service and the problems with my machine.
I am cursing the instant when I decided to buy this crappy Siemens machine. Phew! Is it possible to prevent this machine from being sold in India? I suggest Siemens sticks to what it knows, that is making phones or whatever crap they are good at. Making washing machines should be left to people who know it - IFB or Whirlpool.
