Most disgusting service you can imagine

Ordering Sify braodband was one of the worst decisions I took in 2004. After paying huge installation amount, I though I am on the Broadband bandwagon of ’’India Shining’’.

Connection worked for 5 days before going down. My ordeal starts after that - CTO refuses to pick up phone, Sify CC executive are trained parrorts to give you 24hr commitment with explaining why previous one wasn’t met, CTO’s ’so-called’ tech people crashed my OS (he didn’t even know that you have to shutdown a PC before switching off) and hence ruining my data. After about 75 calls and wasting 30+ hrs, my connection came up after 28 days !!!!Is it called broadband.

Wait. it isn’t over. Someone called Vikas contacted from Sify with big promises to open up a case study and to keep in touch with me for 7 days to ensure service. Connection went down same day and Mr. Vikas was no where to be seen. Again I got to the phone game. No response. Same story as before. I find out the number fo Mr Vikas who claimed to be the manager for Customer Care. He too started the 24 hr game. It has been 22 days and my connection isn’t up.

CTO will neither fix it nor give my money back. Sify will always give 24 hr promise. Where do I go? Is this SIFY service?

Here are some memorable quotes during my soujorn with Sify BROADBAND HA HA !!!

  1. CTO - I don’t have engineers to fix your problem

  2. Delhi Sify manager (sanjay) - how can you expect me to fix your problem in a day or two when it has been down for 15 days ( no remorse - conclusion: the longer you are down, the longer it takes to fix it)

  3. SIFY CustomerCare (this is classic) -We will contact the CTO and yoyur connection will be up in 24 hrs :-) seems like a written down script.

  4. CTO - I don’t report to Sify - ’’main unki naukri nahin karta’’

In this whole game of SIFY, CTO and CustomerCare...there is no one responsible for anything. SIFy has no control over CTO and CTO is interested only in collecting the insatallation amount. Hell with customer...hell with broadband.

If you need more insight in SIFY’s broadband game, let me know.
